Hi. I have a question for you. I have a Cal Ripken card that I haven’t been able to find online. I read what you said here about Ripken deserving to have his own Topps card in ’82. My card is just that. It looks just like the one here, with the 3 ‘future stars’ players, only it is just a photo of Ripken without the other two. It has the info of all three players on the back of the card, however. Can you please tell me where I might go to find out how much this card is worth? I would like to sell it. I can send a photo if you want. Thanks!

I have this card also….I am curious myself..with the casing and screws on four sides if you hear anything e-mail me.

I actually have this card and was wondering what I could get it appraised at or if I should hold onto it another 20+ years for my kid. It is in a hard plastic case sealed with screws on the four sides of the case. Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated.

Schneider had a save in 1981. So the O’s had to have won at least one game he appeared in.

Another reason why Ripken should have had his own card is that he was the 3rd Baseman on the 1981 Topps All-Star Rookie team (he also made the 1982 team, the only player to ever be on the team twice).

If Schneider’s DOB is correct, he was 29 or 30 when this card came out! What kind of prospect is that?!

I always wondered about Boddicker as well. He was the top pitching prospect for the Orioles at the time and it just made sense.

I forgot how highly regarded Floyd Rayford was at one time.
